KATE MC WILLIAM

Melbourne artist Kate McWilliam reimagines the relationships between femininity, abstraction and embodiment by employing the photographic medium and masquerade as a concept and artistic strategy.

Kate has exhibited locally at Brunswick Street Gallery, Sunstudios, BlackCat Gallery, CCP, Albert Street Gallery, Meat Market and RMIT. Her work appeared in the ‘Territories’ exhibition at the 2018 Pingyao International Photography Festival in China and the ‘Kissing Futures’ exhibition in London, 2019. Upon graduating from RMIT in 2018 with Honours 1st Class in the Bachelor of Arts (Photography) (Honours) program, Kate was awarded an RMIT SITUATE studio residency that she completed in Melbourne, 2019.
